Frequently Asked Questions:
What about vacations, girls camp, scout camp, etc? Summer is a very busy time for many families, and we encourage you to attend your various camps and vacations. However, when you are home, and we’re having summer band, we hope you will spend your time with us rather than in front of the T.V. or video games! (Sorry, we can’t offer a discounted price for partial attendance—just come as much as you can)
Can a student take more than one Summer Band class? Yes! Students may sign up for as many summer band classes as they would like. Students in the past have signed up for both the intermediate and advanced band camps just because they love playing in band, hanging out with their friends, making new friends and they really enjoy the experience.
Why is it held at AFJH? By combining with the other northern junior highs in the district, we are able to provide instructors who specialize on their instruments, bring in great guest clinicians and conductors and keep the price low. We meet at AFJH because of its central location and its larger facilities that will accommodate us easier.
