Mountain Ridge Jr. High Bands

Tradition - Commitment - Excellence

SYMPHONIC BAND AUDITIONS!

Smphonic Band auditions are due April 4th! Audition info and submissions are on Canvas. Students auditioning will be given two minutes to play as many of the 12 major scales from memory as they can. Students wishing to do one or more two octave scales will be given three minutes. After that, they will be given one minute to play either a Bb chromatic, F two-octave chromatic or full range chromatic scale from memory. Remember, accuracy counts. If you make too many mistakes, the scale won't count, so don't sacrifice accuracy for speed. Scales can be found in the Foundations for Excellence Book or on the Band Website in the student resources section.
